YCC Cutthroat mixed has been on fire with winning the division spirit awards for the last 2 seasons at YCC in Blaine. Players from the mixed squad return to YCC tryouts every year with increased talent, and pushing to make the womens and Open teams. The positive spirit, energy, and competitive drive in mixed is unparalelled, and can be attributed to the great developmental coaching and the group unity and support of the Colorado YCC group. The Mixed squad will be looking to step up the level of play for some better standing results in 2009.

This Summer 2009 will the 2nd season for youth league night at Angevine Middle School in Louisville, Co. Monday nights from 7:00 to 8:00. The league will run from June 15 to August 3. The 1st three nights in June games will start at 7:15-7:30, for all nights after that games will start at 7PM. The ages are 19 and under. Players must be UPA members. For players under 18 years of age, registrations must be accompanied with a UPA MED. authorization form. Basically the same registration rules for DSYUL apply to the Boulder youth league.
The purpose of the Boulder Youth league is to increase the availability of recreational league play to youth ultimate players that are too far a distance from Denver. The league will be Coed. We had a great time last summer! Lets keep the Boulder league rolling! , Buzz

DSYUL 2009 Registration is open! Tuesday June 9th will kick off the season ! This Summer league begins on Tuesday night, June 9th and will run to Tuesday night, August 4th.

Captains and selected coaches are expected to bring teams in on the first night and have players introduce them selves (go around in the team circle and say names)and then break up for a simple drill before game time. Everyone plays! If the captain gets a sense that younger players are hesitant to put themselves in the game, then the captain and team leaders will facilitate a situation for that player to get involved in a positive way. Colorado Girls Cutthroat is looking forward to attempting to match another finalist showing at the Youth Club Championships in Blaine Minn. This August 8 and 9 2009. We have a small but strong core returning as well as another season of great coaching from Pogo, and C. Matthews.We'll hope to allign with some new talent from the high school ranks this spring. With hard fought pool play, and numerous games going down to the wire in 2008, the open squad, with two thirds of the plyers returning in 09 will be looking to regain a higher placing at this summer's championship, Buzz

The summer league registration form, and Youth Club Championship ("YCC") tryout applications are available here! Registration for the league is open until May 26, 2009. For players that play both Denver and Boulder Leagues, there will be a $10 discount off the total league fee, and an extra league disc. (More about registration.)

Summer league fees are $45.00($80.00 if in both leagues) for UPA members, and $65.00($100.00 if in both leagues) for non UPA members

Registrations must be accompanied by a UPA waiver and release of liability(if not a current UPA member), and a UPA medical authorization form (version 1.3)(for everyone under the age of 18) . Both of these can be found and downloaded at the Ultimate Players Association web site.

The Rare Air(Boulder womens team, semi finalists at Nationals) and Johnny Bravo (Boulder mens team semi-finalists at Nationals ) U17 skills and drills night is to be announced,and will be at the league fields. If you are 17 years old or under you won't want to miss it. Participants will get a commemorative DSYUL/Johnny Bravo Ring Tee. Registered members that want to participate let me know as soon as possible.
